With 30+ years of teaching experience between them, the Griffiths are excited to share their knowledge and passion of music with new generations. Adam and Wendi like to team teach, which gives their students twice the resources from which to learn.

An accomplished vocalist, accompanist, educator, and arts administrator, Wendi Griffiths (she/her/hers) actively seeks opportunities to mentor and advocate for students. She is currently the adjunct voice faculty member at UNC Pembroke and Fayetteville Technical Community College, as well as a voice and piano instructor at Snyder Music Academy. Previously, she has worked as an accompanist and coach for the University of Utah Musical Theatre Department and the music department at Utah Valley University. Additionally, Wendi has accompanied various performances and masterclasses across the country. Her students have received superior ratings at state solo and ensemble festivals, won top awards at NATS competitions, and have successfully continued their studies in programs throughout the world.
Wendi has had an extensive performing career, both in choirs and as a solo singer. She sang and soloed with both the University of Utah A Cappella and Women’s Choir, as well as singing with the Tallahassee Community Chorus. Opera credits include the title role in the opera Amahl and the Night Visitors, Fan in the World Premier of Leavitt and Buck’s A Christmas Carol, and Belle in the same opera the following year. Some of her favorite musical theatre performances include The Secret Garden, The Scarlet Pimpernel, and Big River. She has also served behind the scenes in many production roles, including musical director.
Wendi is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), where she served on the Northern Utah Chapter board and in 2018, served as Volunteer Coordinator for the Cal-Western Regional NATS Auditions. She also founded and served as President of the Student NATS chapter at the University of Utah and has served on the board of the Tallahassee Community Chorus. Wendi holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Utah, a Bachelor of Science degree in History and Political Science from Weber State University, and a Master of Arts degree in Arts Administration, with an emphasis in Music from Florida State University.

Adam Griffiths is a performer, educator, composer, and arts administrator. With a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance, both from the University of Utah, Adam is a well-rounded musician who actively seeks unique career opportunities.
Some favorite roles he’s played include Anatoly Sergievsky in Chess, King Kaspar in Amahl and the Night Visitors, Bob Cratchit in the world premiere opera A Christmas Carol, and the title role in Bernstein’s Candide. He has soloed in many large choral works including Dan Forrest’s Requiem for the Living, Robert Ray’s Gospel Mass, and the premiere of Neely Bruce’s oratorio Circular 14: The Apotheosis of Aristides. Other performing highlights include winning the U of U Concerto Competition, performing in six productions with the Ohio Light Opera company, and winning the inaugural Toian-Bowser Alexander award at the American Traditions Vocal Competition. Adam is also a composer and in 2020 had his choral composition Remember the Songs premiered by the Florida State University Chamber Choir.
Adam has performed as a member of and soloist for the University of Utah Singers, whom he also performed with internationally in 10 countries. Additionally, Adam has been a soloist with the Salt Lake Vocal Artists, Salt Lake Symphonic Choir, Wasatch Chorale, and Sterling Singers. He was a member of the prestigious men’s septet Consortium for three years, who were fortunate to perform for the UMEA conference in 2015. Adam is a registered adjudicator with UMEA and has judged many choral and Solo and Ensemble festivals.
In addition to teaching Voice Lessons, Adam is also a Music Theory Tutor and Composer/Arranger. He is an adjudicator and clinician and is usually available to adjudicate choirs, vocalists, and pianists.
