​In my piano studio, I teach a variety of methods.  I try to find what will best help students individually. For my younger students, just starting out, I use an older Alfred method.  It's called Alfred D'Auberge Piano Course.  This method comes with three books in each level, a Piano Course book, a Recital Book and a Notespeller.  The Notespeller is a music theory workbook.  I have a strong belief that theory is important for every music student and try to make that the foundation of my teaching approach.  I use a few other methods depending upon the age and ability of the student.  Another of my basic staples is the Alfred Masterwork Classics series.  I supplement these with a variety of music theory books and worksheets to suit the student's needs.
